It took 23 minutes, but the Pics opened up the scoring affair in the late game on Saturday night, and skated away with the 5 - 2 victory. Aiden Grabowski was able to grab his first Elite goal of the year just as the Pics were starting on the power play and was able to one time it past Bandits goaltender Paul Bodey. Zack Fox and Nick Disanti were credited with the assists.
The Bandits got revenge just 5 minutes later when Sean Heritage was able to get one past Colin Sherwood to tie the game up at 1.
Simon Higgins got his name added to the scoring column as a shot bounced off a Bandits player and went into the back of the net. Brigham Dubey and Chris Foster were credited with the assists.
Tyler Genovese got what would end up being the game winning goal early in the 3rd period when he he set up at the near post, got a soft pass from Higgins, and put it between the legs of the goaltender to make it 3 - 1. Dubey was credited with the secondary assist.
Foster got what would be the insurance goal at the 5:22 mark of the 3rd period when he got the quick one time pass and fed it through to make it 4 - 1. Martin Rudolf and Disanti were credited with the assists.
Kearney scored one of his own in the waining minutes of regulation, but Rudolf got one of his own at the 17:25 mark when he got the outlet pass and went one on one with the goaltender. He was able to finish off the game with a goal low stick side. Foster and Grabowski were credited with the assists.
Sherwood stopped 36 out of 38 shots for the win, while Paul Bodey stopped 36 out of 41 shots for the loss.
It took three periods, plus an overtime period, but the Pics fell to the Bandits 3 - 2 on Halloween in Bridgewater.

The Bandits scored twice in the 2nd to take the lead, but Zanin returned the favor when he went down the wing and beat Bruns opposite side high to tie the game up at 2 midway through the 3rd period. Jack Fore and Aiden Grabowski got the assists.
Chris Foster drew a crucial tripping call, and the Bandits scored on the ensuing power play to defeat the Pics 3 - 2.
Ray Picard stopped 42 out of 45 shots in the loss.

The Pics defeated the Cyclones 4 - 3 Saturday afternoon, notching their first win of the season. The Cyclones struck first early in the 1st period when Matt JaJoie was able to sneak it past Ray Picard to make it 1 - 0. Chase Burnell was credited with the assist. Braeden Humphrey was able to even up the score when Zack Fox went behind the goal and into the near corner, spun around and found Humphrey right in front of the net, and deposited it to make it 1- 1. Bryce St. Martin was credited with the secondary assist.
Burnell was able to make it 2 - 1 just 5 minutes later when he got it past Picard. Alexander Nisevich and Lajoie were credited with the assists.
Zack Fox was able to make it 2 - 2 as he was able to pick up the loose puck when it got away from Hayden Manning while on the power play. James Delaney and Brandon Shuman were credited with the assists.
Simon Higgins got the Pics the lead for good as he was able to get a breakaway chance and went top shelf glove side to make it 3 - 2. Tyler Genovese and Brigham Dubey got the assists.
Chris Foster was able to make it 4 - 2 when he was able to take the pass from Fox in a set play on the power play. Humphrey was credited with the secondary assist.
The Cyclones put one more on the board with 6 minutes remaining in the 2nd, but the Pics held strong in the 3rd period, not allowing any goals to be scored.
Picard stopped 33 out of 36 shots for the win, while Cyclones goaltender Manning stopped 29 out of 33 for the loss. The Pics struck first, but the Islanders had two unanswered goals in the 3rd to skate away with the victory on Saturday night 2 - 1. Oliver Cookson got the loan goal for the Pics just past the half way point in the 1st period when he set up just outside the near faceoff circle in front of the net and he got a pass from Connor O'Brien who wrapped around the Islanders goal to attempt a goal, but passed the puck through traffic to Cookson who deposited it in the back of the net. Nick Foster was credited with the secondary assist. The Islanders deposited two unanswered goals in the 3rd period. The Pics did pull Friedlander for the extra attacker, but could not convert on the numerous attempted and fell 2 - 1. Friedlander stopped 30 out of 32 shots for the loss. ELITE The Pics and the B's battled back and forth Saturday night, but it was three unanswered goals that threw momentum in the favor of the B's, and the Pics fell 6 - 4.
Dominick Balboni, and Paud O'Brien each had multi-point nights. Sam Zavelson stopped 21 out of 27 shots for the loss. The Pics scored twice in the 1st, but the Islanders might have been down but not out as it took until overtime for the Pics to defeat the Islanders 5 - 4 on top of a Dominick Balboni overtime goal.
Aaron Champagne opened up the scoring just under 6 minutes into the opening frame when he got a feed from Connor Cognac. Dominick Balboni added to his team leading 20 assists with the secondary assist while on the power play. Eli Boyle got a short handed goal just about 10 minutes later. Connor Cognac and Bryce St. Martin got the assists. The Islanders returned the two in a row with two in a row of their own in the 2nd period. Liam Byrne and Cognac each scored a goal of their own in the 2nd period, with Cognac, Balboni, Paud O'Brien, and Bryce St. Martin all got assists. The Islanders got two more in the 3rd to tie it up, with the tying goal in the waining minute while on the shorthand. Dominick Balboni got the game winning goal at just about the half way point in the overtime period when he dragged the puck in front of the goal, getting the goaltender to commit the opposite way. Pics goaltender Garret Woodruff stopped 37 out of 41 goals for the win. The Springfield Pics skated in on Saturday night, knowing that they had a target on their back with their current streak, and skated out with a victory, defeating the Islanders Hockey Club 4 - 3 in a back and forth battle. Neither team scored in the first period, but the Pics struck first in the 2nd when Bryce St. Martin got the give and go pass from Felix Appelt, who was breaking down the wing and St. Martin was on the opposite side. St. Martin set up on the opposite post and shot from his knees and got Varveris blocking low while St. Martin went high over the leg blockers. Timofey Basarab was credited with the secondary assist. The Pics struck again later on in the 2nd when Seth Chernik went stick side against Varveris. Liam Byrne got possession of the puck and looked to take the initial shot. He then went behind the net for a wrap around but noticed traffic, and went a bit further down to find Chernik sitting in front of the net. Aiden Grabowski was credited with the secondary assist. The Islanders then scored three in a row to make it 3 - 2 going into the 3rd period. The Pics may have been down, but they were not out and Timofey Basarab showed it on the power play when he popped the water bottle as he got the pass from Dominick Balboni. Felix Appelt won the face off and dished if off to Balboni. Mike Dyer got his second goal of the season, and first game winning goal when he got the pass from beyond the red line from Liam Andersen and went down with Andersen, with Andersen acting as the decoy. Dyer was then able to get the puck to squeak through the legs of Varveris to make it 4 - 3. Spencer Strouse netted his first assist as a Pic as well, getting credit for the secondary assist. Garret Woodruff stopped 35 out of 38 shots in the win, while Mike Varveris stopped 40 out of 44 shots for the loss.
The Pics face the Boston Junior Bruins Sunday at 11:30 am at the New England Sports Center. The Pics skated into Sunday afternoon's tilt against the Islanders with 5 wins in a row, and skated out with 6 wins in a row as they defeated the Islanders 6 - 3. The Islanders opened up the scoring first early in the 1st period, but it took until a little over 6 minutes on into the 2nd period when Timofey Basarab started up with the Pics four unanswered goals. Basarab lined up behind the screen of two Pics players and shot it into the back of the net. Ryan Moorhouse and Sean Ferus were credited with the assists. Connor Cognac got the next goal when him and Connor O'Brien both got along the boards, and O'Brien was able to dish it off to Cognac. O'Brien went up the opposite side as a decoy. The IHC goaltender kept eyes on O'Brien and Cognac was able to get it past him. Nicholas Lopes was credited with the secondary assist. Connor O'Brien was able to get his own rebound and score a goal when he got a feed from Aaron Champagne while breaking down the wing. Timofey Basarab initiated the feed and was on the opposite post as a decoy, and was also credited with an assist. Aiden Grabowski got the Pics' 4th goal almost immediately off the faceoff when he got the pass from Dominick Balboni who won the faceoff. Grabowski was able to shoot it in from the blue line unopposed. Bryce St. Martin was also credited with an assist. IHC was able to notch two goals to bring them within one, but Connor Cognac was able to restart the Pics' scoring frenzy when he was able to deposit the soft rebound off a Bryce St. Martin shot from the point. Liam Byrne was able to dish it off to St. Martin to complete the assist. Connor Cognac was able to net an empty net goal to complete the hat trick. Timofey Basarab and Aaron Champagne got the assists.
Cameron Schnopp stopped 52 out of 55 shots for the win. The Pics skated in on a 4 game winning streak, and were able to make it 5 in a row when they shut out the Bandits 10 - 0 on Saturday night. Having a combined total of 15 unanswered goals over two games. Timofey Basarab and Dominick Balboni each had hat tricks in the rout. Dominick Balboni opened up the scoring frenzy while on the penalty kill when he got a feed from Nicholas Lopes off the boards to originally get it out of the zone, and was originally going down the ice as a forechecker. He noticed that the Bandits opposing player was not moving fast after the puck and took off, beating the player to the puck and was able to line up a quick shot and went top shelf against the goaltender. Nick Foster was able to make it 2 - 0 when he redirected a shot on net from Bryce St. Martin that squeaked between the pads of Connor Lee. Liam Byrne was credited with the secondary assist. Timofey Basarab made it 3 - 0 when he was able to bring the puck in close, and deke the Lee and left him frozen and got it in the opposite side. Dominick Balboni and Bryce St. Martin were both credited with the assists. Timofey Basarab notched another one when he was able to line up for a perfect straight up shot down the middle after he grabbed the puck off a Bandit's stick. Nobody challenged him and he was able to beat Lee high. Matt Kennedy and Dominick Balboni got the assists. Sean Ferus made it 5 - 0 when he was able to get the soft drop pass from Aaron Champagne when he was challenged by a defender and was able to one-time it into the back of the net. Connor Cognac was credited with the secondary assist. Bryce St. Martin made it 6 - 0 when he was able to go 5-hole on the goaltender when he received a pass from along the board from Connor O'Brien who got the puck from Matt Kennedy Dominick Balboni made it 7 - 0 when he tipped the puck in off a redirect from Nicholas Lopes. Alex Speckhart was credited with the secondary assist. Timofey Basarab netted his hat trick when he tipped a shot in from Aiden Grabowski. Basarab drove down the ice and was challenged in the corner. He dished the puck off to Matt Kennedy, who dished it off to Grabowski who made the intitial shot. Basarab deflected it into a different direction beating the goaltender. Connor O'Brien made it 9 - 0 when he was able to tip in the shot from Timofey Basarab on a 3 on 1. Nicholas Lopes got the secondary assist. Dominick Balboni got his hat trick when he put his stick down at just the right time to deflect a shot from Alex Speckhart. Connor Lee stopped 34 out of 41 for the loss, while Sean Raynor stopped 19 out of 22 for the Bandits. Cameron Schnopp stopped all 39 shots for the win.
The Pics skated into IHC, and defeated them 8 - 3 in a Friday noontime tilt. The Pics opened up the scoring when Timofey Basarab was able to capitalize off a faceoff win from Brigham Dubey and deposited it in the back of the net. Sean Ferus was able to make it 2 - 0 when he got a shot off a loose puck from a Nathan Brown face off win and quick shot. Aaron Champagne was credited with the secondary assist. The Islanders were able to get one on the board after that, but Dominick Balboni was able to go 5-hole on the goaltender when he broke down the wing and received a drop pass from Timofey Basarab who was on the opposite end of the ice. Balboni was unopposed on his trek down the ice and was given enough time to line up his shot to make it 3 - 1. The Islanders tried to start to throw the momentum their way when they scored two unanswered goals, but Nick Foster got what would be the game winning goal when Connor O'Brien fed him the loose puck and Foster was able to deposit it bar down. Connor Cognac was able to get the insurance goal when he jammed at the puck in front of the net off a soft rebound from his own shot. Connor O'Brien gave the puck to Cognac and was credited with the assist. Connor O'Brien was able to get one in the back of the net, and start his natural hat trick when he got the puck from an Aaron Champagne successful faceoff. Connor O'Brien was able to tally in the empty net as the Islanders pulled the goaltender with just over 3:30 left to go in the game to attempt to get back into it. Timofey Basarab got the assist. It was hat-trick time for Connor O'Brien has he got a close in shot opportunity and was able to capitalize on it as Timofey Basarab had the puck, and dished it off to O'Brien who was sitting on the post and tapped it in top shelf. Marcello De Antunano stopped 49 out of 52 shots for the win.

Liam Byrne then scored, tying the score up at 3 a piece. Zach Shupe and Matt Kennedy got the assists. Vaughn Gillen scored his first of the game, putting the B's back on top. Liam Andersen restarted the frenzy, as the Pics scored 3 in a row to throw the momentum in their favor. Cole Growhoski and Connor Cognac got the assists on the first of 3 goals. Dylan Taylor then scored what would be the game winning goal with Hunter Dodds and Matt Kennedy getting the assists.
