TISDELL TO FRANKLIN PIERCE

The Springfield Pics are proud to announce the commitment of Josh Tisdell of Chicopee, Massachusetts to NCAA Division II Franklin Pierce University Men’s Hockey program for the 2024-2025 season. Josh is another player who has worn the historic jersey for over 162 games through multiple seasons as a U15, U16, U18 and the Premier level. He lit the lamp 12 times, garnering 56 assists but it was his steady defensive play that had him on the ice in all situations. When asked about his commitment to play NCAA Hockey this is what he had to say; “I am very happy to announce my commitment to play hockey at Franklin Pierce University this fall. I would like to thank my family as well as the Springfield Pics organization and coaches for all of their support”.
GM and Head Coach Rob Bonneau on Tisdell: “We are very excited to hear that Josh has committed to Franklin Pierce. He is a player who started on our U16’s as a 14 year old; moved to and played for Skipjacks (U18’s) and came back to our Premier team for the past 2 seasons. Josh is an offensive defenseman who had the ability to impact the game with his play due to his size and tenacity. He played his best hockey in the playoffs. We are looking forward to watching Josh the next 4 seasons at Franklin Pierce and wish him all the best.”

TUITE TO SAINT MICHAELS

The Springfield Pics are proud to announce the commitment of Premier Player Jack Tuite to NCAA Division II Men’s Hockey program at Saint Michael's College for the 2024-2025 season. Jake played for the PICS Premier team for the past two seasons with 89 games for the Pics, lighting the lamp 28 times, and garnering 56 assists. When asked about his commitment to play NCAA Hockey this is what the New Yorker had to say; “I would like to announce my commitment to Saint Michael’s College. I would like to thank my friends and family for helping me to get to this point. I would also like to thank the entire Springfield Pics coaching staff as well.”

GM and Head Coach Rob Bonneau on Tuite: “Jack is a 200 ft player. We counted on him for everything: special teams, face offs, d-zone, and offense. His best part of the game is his hockey IQ. He will have a successful college hockey career. We wish Jack the best at St Michaels for the next 4 seasons”.

ZEMBRZYCKI TO SUNY MORRISVILLE

The Springfield Pics are proud to announce the commitment of Premier Player Tyler Zembrzycki of East Islip, New York to NCAA Division III SUNY Morrisville Men’s Hockey for the 2024-2025 season. Tyler “Big Z” over the past two years suited up for the PICS Premier team in 78 games in which he lit the lamp 47 times, and had 59 assists surpassing the 100 point mark. When asked of his commitment: “I am very happy to announce my commitment to play NCAA Division 3 ice hockey at SUNY Morrisville for Coach Krogol. This is something that I have been working towards since playing junior hockey across the United States and in Canada. My last year and a half in the USPHL with the Springfield Premier Pics was exactly what I needed to get me where I’m at right now. Coach Rob Bonneau was there helping me every step of the way on and off the ice, preparing me for this next step in my life. I can’t thank him enough as a coach and a friend. I would also like to thank my teammates that I’ve played with, and of course my parents that have supported me and encouraged me to continue on with my goals and dreams. I’m looking forward to getting up to Morrisville, and starting this next journey.

GM and Head Coach Rob Bonneau had this to say: “Tyler has been an impact player since the day he became a Springfield PIC. He is a tremendous goal scorer and at 6’5” is a physical presence whenever he was on the ice. Tyler played in all the key situations and will be very hard to replace but we look forward to watching him play for Morrisville in the SUNY which was Tyler’s goal when he arrived to us. We wish Tyler and Morrisville the best next season and hope to build a pipeline line to Morrisville with coach Krogel and his staff”.

ZARANEK TO FITCHBURG STATE

The Springfield Pics are proud to announce the commitment of Premier Player Ben Zaranek to NCAA Division III Fitchburg State Men’s Hockey for the 2024-2025 season. This is Ben’s third year for the Premier team and in 68 games (Regular and Playoffs) for the Pics, he has an impressive .950% Saves percentage and a 2.00 Goals against average in that time. When asked of his commitment: “I’m extremely excited to continue my athletic career at Fitchburg for Coach Fuller. I want to thank all my Coaches in Springfield for giving me all the opportunities and taking me in”.

GM and Head Coach Rob Bonneau had this to say: “Ben has been our number one goalie for the last 3 years, he has played all our playoff games the last 3 seasons. He is extremely athletic and calm in the net, has the ability to win a game for the team, he gives the other players confidence knowing he is back there. We wish Ben the best of luck for the next four years and continue our pipeline with Fitchburg State. Ben will be hard to replace and be missed”.
