Springfield Pics Announces NCDC Team For 2025-26Springfield Jr PICS are proud to announce joining the NCDC Conference of the USPHL starting in the 2025-2026 season. The PICS are not only a founding member of the USPHL, The NCDC Championship trophy “Dineen Cup” is in fact named after the founder of the Springfield Jr PICS, Gary Dineen. The PICS will remain in the New England Division at the NCDC level and continue to play out of the Olympia Ice Center in West Springfield. “We have been a proud member of the USPHL since its inception and are proud to announce our elevation to the NCDC Division,” said Springfield PICS franchise owner Patrick Tabb. “This gives us the opportunity to once again compete for the Dineen Cup, named in honor of our founder, Gary Dineen. We are thrilled for this next chapter in our program and provisioning for more college hockey opportunities for players for many years to come”. The 2025-26 season couldn’t have started stronger for the Springfield PICS U15 squad — dominant at the Jr TBirds Invitational! 3-1 on the weekend Tournament Champs Zero goals allowed in the final Round Robin Results: Win 8-3 vs. Jr TBirds National Bound Win 3-2 vs. Boston Advantage Loss 2-3-vs. Yale Showcase Final: 2-0 win over Yale to seal the title! This group came ready to compete, and they delivered with grit, skill, and unity. The PICS are setting the tone for a season of high expectations — building toward becoming Western Mass’s premier full-season Midget Hockey program, with a clear path to the NCDC and beyond. |
