The Pics skated into Sunday afternoon's tilt against the Islanders with 5 wins in a row, and skated out with 6 wins in a row as they defeated the Islanders 6 - 3. The Islanders opened up the scoring first early in the 1st period, but it took until a little over 6 minutes on into the 2nd period when Timofey Basarab started up with the Pics four unanswered goals. Basarab lined up behind the screen of two Pics players and shot it into the back of the net. Ryan Moorhouse and Sean Ferus were credited with the assists. Connor Cognac got the next goal when him and Connor O'Brien both got along the boards, and O'Brien was able to dish it off to Cognac. O'Brien went up the opposite side as a decoy. The IHC goaltender kept eyes on O'Brien and Cognac was able to get it past him. Nicholas Lopes was credited with the secondary assist. Connor O'Brien was able to get his own rebound and score a goal when he got a feed from Aaron Champagne while breaking down the wing. Timofey Basarab initiated the feed and was on the opposite post as a decoy, and was also credited with an assist. Aiden Grabowski got the Pics' 4th goal almost immediately off the faceoff when he got the pass from Dominick Balboni who won the faceoff. Grabowski was able to shoot it in from the blue line unopposed. Bryce St. Martin was also credited with an assist. IHC was able to notch two goals to bring them within one, but Connor Cognac was able to restart the Pics' scoring frenzy when he was able to deposit the soft rebound off a Bryce St. Martin shot from the point. Liam Byrne was able to dish it off to St. Martin to complete the assist. Connor Cognac was able to net an empty net goal to complete the hat trick. Timofey Basarab and Aaron Champagne got the assists.
