The Premier squad skated away to victory in a points filled game 6 - 4 on Monday afternoon.
The Bandits scored less than a minute into regulation when Jace Rearic put one behind Wyatt Friedlander, but the Pics were able to quickly bounce back when Chase Reynolds was able to put the puck in the back of the net off a quick pass from Matthew Kowal after Kowal was able to bother and steal the puck away from an Bandits player. A Bandits player dislodged the net, but the play was allowed to continue and the puck ended up in the back of the net. The goal counted much to the protest of the Bandits bench. Kyle Nelson was credited with the assist.
The Bandits bounced back just two minutes later to make it 2 - 1 when Blake Bracco was able to put one by Friedlander. The Pics then stuck back with four unanswered goals.
Julian Perino was able to help knock the puck in through the slot as Kowal drove down the ice and made a shot attempt, but it deflected and Perino was able to put it on in on the reattempt. Chase Reynolds was credited with the assist.
Just past the halfway point in the game, Perino was able to pick up a loose puck and bring it down the far side wing and put it top shelf against the goaltender Kausch. Reynolds and Kowal were credited with the assists.
Just a minute and a half remaining in the 2nd period, O'Brien was able to put the finishing touches on a give and shoot pass in front of the net when he got a pass from Matthew Tullo. Owen Stacey got the secondary assist.
Chase Reynolds was then able to get a break away short handed opportunity, and he converted on it to put the nail in the coffin for the Bandits.
The Bandits scored twice, with Rearic notching a hat trick to put the Bandits down by one, but Owen Stacey got the empty net goal from 200 feet away to make the final score 6 - 4.
Wyatt Friedland stopped 36 out of 40 shots for the win, while Konrad Kausch stopped 21 out of 26 shots in the loss.
