The Pics delivered a 5 - 0 shutout to the Boston Advantage Tuesday afternoon at the Olympia.
The Pics opened up just around the half way mark of the 1st period when Connor O'Brien delivered a highlight reel worthy pass to Chase Reynolds who was on the opposite side of the ice breaking down and was able to deposit the puck in the back of the net on a breakaway opportunity. Cam Gaylor was credited with the secondary assist. Matthew Tullo was able to make it 2 - 0 about 8 minutes into the 2nd period when he grabbed the loose puck in the Pics defensive end, and brought it up all by himself. He was able to slip it past between the post and the pads of the goaltender. Oliver Cookson and Nick Foster were credited with the assists. Nico Rodrigues was able to make it 3 - 0 when he was able to stuff the puck past Reardon after a small scrum in front of the net. Julian Perino and Connor O'Brien were credited with the assists. Nick Lopes was able to make it 4 - 0 just two minutes later when he was able to stuff the rebound off a Connor Matthews shot into a practically empty net as Reardon was out of position. Xavier Erickson was credited with the secondary assist.
With just under a minute remaining, Ryan Moorhouse was able to put his name onto the scoresheet when he banged in the rebound shot from Connor O'Brien on the power play. Mike Penna was credited with the assist.
Pics goaltender Wyatt Friedlander was credited with stopping all 22 shots he faced, while Advantage goaltender Austin Reardon stopped 50 out of 55 shots he faced.
