Pics Premier Player Nicholas Rodriguez commits to University of Tampa Bay

The Springfield Pics are proud to announce the commitment of Nico Rodriguez to the University of Tampa Bay, members of the ACHA.

Rodriguez, a four-year veteran of the Pics has played a total of four seasons, starting from U16 on up to the Premier level. He has played 183 games, with 32 goals and 51 assists while being a member of the Pics.

“Nico has been with the Pics the last 4 seasons and has gotten better each year. It will feel different going to the rink every day and not see Nico, as he brought a fun, hardworking attitude to the rink and cared about this team success.  He will be missed next season, but we are extremely proud to be watching him the next four years at University of Tampa Bay.  Nico has done everything we asked of him and has earned this opportunity where he will have an impact the next 4 seasons.  We wish him the best and will always be a part of the Springfield Pics family.” Premier Head Coach and General Manager Rob Bonneau was quoted.

John Sarno, U16 coach and College Placement coach was quoted at saying “Nico is a very good hard-working skater, and he is going to add lots of energy to the University of Tampa Bay’s line up.   Congrats Nico!”
