The Premier squad was looking to get back into the win column after dropping a hard-fought game against the Bruins, and they did against the Kings, defeating them 5 - 2.
Benjamin Goring scored early in the 1st period when he snagged a clearing pass from a Kings defender, and one timed it to pop the water bottle and make it 1 - 0. Connor Matthews and Alexei Filimonov were credited with the assists.
Sean Donoghue was able to make it 2 - 0 when he was able to redirect a Brock Baumann shot that came from the blue line. Tyler Wilson passed it off to Baumann, who took the one time shot from the blue line, and Donoghue was able to get his stick on it to redirect the shot and put it in opposite side of the net.
The Kings were able to put one up on the board in the 2nd period, but the Pics put three more on the board in the 3rd period. Wilson got what would end up being the game winning goal when he got a pass from Donoghue who was on the forecheck and was able to free the puck up. Wilson was all alone in front of the net and was able to get the shot off right before he was on the receiving end of an open ice check. Nicholas Rodrigues was credited with the secondary assist.
Brock Baumann was able to make it 4 - 1 when he was able to slip a sliding back hand shot past the goaltender up close. Wilson and Rodrigues were credited with the assists.
Aaron Cholewa was able to make it 5 - 1 with the goaltender pulled while the Pics were on the penalty kill. Carter Brunelle and Baumann were credited with the assists.
The Kings did put one up on the board in the waning seconds of regulation to make it 5 - 2. Jacob Brown stopped 25 out of 27 shots for the win.
