The Pics defeated the Kings 3 - 2 on Wednesday afternoon, with Wyatt Friedlander stopping 22 out of 24 shots.
Matthew Tullo got the Pics on the board first at nearly 5 minutes into the 1st period when he was sitting in the slot, and got the pass from behind the goal from Oliver Cookson and one timed it into the back of the net. Cam Gaylor was credited with the secondary assist.
Joe Bouchard was able to join snipe-city when he got the pass from Cookson and held on to it enough time to set up the slapshot from near the blue line. Tullo was credited with the assist.
Chase Reynolds was able to put his name in the scorebook when he was also able to get a shot from near the blueline when Stacey was able to dish the pass off to him after shaking a couple defenders. Julian Perino was credited with the assist.
The Kings put two more goals on the board, but couldn't get a goal in with the extra attacker as their goaltender was pulled in the waining moments of the game.
Friedlander was able to stop 22 out of 24 shots for the win, while Scott Barnikow stopped 25 out of 28 for the loss. |
