Pics defeat Bruins 5 - 2

The Pics defeated the Junior Bruins 5 - 2 Friday night on the road. The Pics opened up the scoring early in the 1st period as Higgins was able to deposit the puck past the Bruins goaltender. Dubey and Fox were credited with the assists.

The Bruins were able to even it up a minute later, but just five minutes later Humphrey was able to regain the lead for the Pics after diving after a loose puck in the slot to make it 2 - 1.

Rudolf was able to make it 3 - 1 in the waining minutes of the 1st period on the breakaway and deposited the puck top shelf.

Zanin was able to seal the deal after the Bruins got a goal in the 2nd period, making it 4 - 2.

Dubey got an empty net goal in the final minutes of the 3rd period making it 5 - 2.

Jack Messing got his first junior win, stopping 39 out of 41 shots.
