The Elite squad wanted to avenge the previous night's loss, and they did, with three unanswered goals, and held off IHC's run in the end, defeating them 3 - 2 on Sunday night.
Hunter Dodds opened up the scoring when he was able to "clear the trash" and poke the puck through the mouth of the net to make it 1 - 0. Aiden Grabowski and Sean Ferus were credited with the assists.
Thomas Malatinec made it 2 - 0 when he went in all by himself and put a spin on the puck as he shot it. The puck deflected off the top of the goaltender's glove and trickled into the back of the net. Brandon Shuman and Noah Behrens-Gould, who captured his first career assist, were credited with the assists.
Bryce St. Martin capitalized on a rebound from a shot from Kevin Avery to make it 3 - 0. Brandon Shuman was credited with the secondary assist.
The Islanders put two up in the 3rd period, but couldn't capitalize on numerous power play opportunities in the 3rd period. Noah Behrens-Gould stopped 35 out of 37 shots for the win.
