Picard to Air Force

The Springfield Pics are proud to announce the commitment of Elite Team Goalie Ray Picard to ACHA Air Force Academy for the 2022-2023 season. Ray, who is originally from Portland, Connecticut, played for the Pics the  past 3 seasons with U15’s, U16’s and Jr. Elite.  Ray is part of the U16’s 2021 American League Championship and posted a league best SVS’s of .966%. When asked about Ray here is what the coaches had to say:

GM Rob Bonneau: “We are extremely proud of Raymond for his appointment to USAFA and grateful for the time he spent with the Pics as he carries on playing hockey with the Falcons in the ACHA.”

Elite Coach Chris Beaudoin: “Ray is a great kid on and off the ice.  He came to the rink ready to go, and was ready when his name was called…to include winning us a couple of big games during the elite season.” 

U16’s Coach John Sarno: “Ray is a good, reliable goalie who gives the team a chance to win, a very reliable person too.  He was a big part of our U16’s 2nd league Championship team.  We wish Ray a big congrats and best of luck.”
