PHC sweep U15 in a hard fought battle

PHC and the Pics scored a combined 25 goals, but the Philadelphia Hockey Club skated away victorious both days.

Cole Davis was one goal interrupted away from getting a natural hat trick on Saturday's game, but three unanswered goals from PHC, and Sabatino DiBenedetto  game winning goal at the 5:21 mark of the 3rd period send PHC to victory on Saturday.

Sunday was a back and forth battle, with the Pics scoring three times, but PHC once again scored three in a row in the 2nd to shift momentum temporarily their way.  Johnny Blase was able to send the game into overtime, as he was on as the extra attacker and scored with just 26 seconds remaining in regulation. Neither team scored in the overtime  period on Sunday, but PHC scored twice in the shootout while the PHC goaltender stopped two out of three Pics attempts to give PHC the sweep.
