Monarchs topple Pics 5 - 2

The Monarchs struck first late in the 1st period, three in the 2nd period, and one early on the 3rd to send momentum against the Pics as the Pics fell 5 - 2 on Wednesday afternoon.

Mathias Alexandrov, Tanner Agnello, Cole Haldane, and Tyson Springer each put up goals for the Monarchs.

The Pics spoiled the shutout at the 9:02 mark of the 3rd when Felix Appelt was able to put the deflection on in through traffic.  Luc Fricchione and  Carter Brunelle were credited with the assists.

​Alexei Filimonov, in his first game as a member of the Springfield Pics picked up his first goal as he pushed the puck past the goal line. Corey McNally and  Brock Baumann both got credited with assists.

Nick Digiacomo stopped 26 out of 31 shots for the loss.
