Pics defeat Bandits on Tuesday afternoon

The Pics struck first early on in the 2nd period when Joe Bouchard won the face off and dished it off to Oliver Cookson who broke down the ice with Brock Baumann going ahead on the opposite wing. Cookson dished it off to Baumann who was a few feet ahead on the opposite wing. Baumann then tried to go in for a wrap around, but aborted and dished it back to Cookson for the one timer.

Brock Baumann was able to get it in the back of the net off a deflection of a Bandit player trying to get it out to Cookson. Kyle Nelson and Timofey Basarab were both credited with assists.

Timofey Basarab got the puck in the back of the net while on the backcheck. Brock Baumann and Max Moriarty initially started the pressure and caused the Bandits to dish it back to their defensive corps.

The Bandits were able to score three in a row to tie it up, but Brock Baumann was able to get the game-winning goal when he broke down the near wing and went cross ice and dragged the puck past the goaltender on the far side when he committed near side. Nick Foster and Max Moriarty were both credited with the assists.

Matthew Jonas stopped 8 out of 10 shots and Wyatt Friedlander was credited with the win, stopping 27 out of 28 shots for the Pics. Matt Peterson stopped 32 out of 36 shots for the Bandits in the loss.
