The Pics may have struck first, but the Bandits stole it away from the Pics Friday afternoon, defeating the Pics 6 - 5. Just past the half way point in the 1st period, Dominick Balboni and Paud O'Brien broke down the ice on a 2 on 1. Balboni dished it off to O'Brien who shot it at the net. Balboni grabbed the rebound and stuffed it in to make it 1 - 0. Just three minutes later Connor Cognac batted the puck down like a dribbling a basketball and quickly deposited the puck in the back of the net. Hunter Dodds had the original shot and was credited with the assist. Dylan Taylor was credited with the secondary assist. The B's then put up three in a row to take the lead, but Brigham Dubey converted the power play quickly when he was able to knock in the loose puck that got behind Egan. Connor Cognac had the initial shot. Matt Kennedy got the secondary assist. The B's added one to the board to take the lead again, but Connor Cognac was able to get the goal in right after the faceoff and put the puck in the back of the net through traffic. Paud O'Brien and Dominick Balboni were both credited with assists. The B's added one more on the shorthand to grab the lead again, but Dominick Balboni tied up the game again when he "lock-load-and fired" when he got the pass and dragged the puck out to his defensive position and popped the water bottle with a slapshot. Paud O'Brien and Matt Kennedy were both credited with assists. Garrett Woodruff stopped 26 out of 32 shots in the loss.
