Zach Fox notched his third career hat trick with the Pics, 1st on the Elite squad as the Pics defeated the Bruins 9 - 4 on Sunday afternoon. Fox started the scoring frenzy just over a minute into the game when he got the deflection off of a soft feed from Aiden Grabowski. Chris Foster was credited with the secondary assist. Brigham Dubey made it 2 - 0 just three minutes later when he got a give and go pass from Simon Higgins and deposited it in the back of the net. Tyler Genovese got the secondary assist. Martin Rudolf made it 3 - 0 when he got the give and go from Chris Foster. Ray Picard got his first career assist on the Elite level. The Bruins got one back a minute later, and neither team scored until the 2:15 mark of the 2nd period when Rudolf got a feed right in front of the net from Fox to make it 4 - 1. Foster was credited with the secondary assist. Fox scored on the power play to make it 5 - 1 when the power play unit ran with an overload on the bench side, and Fox was sitting alone on the opposite side faceoff dot and deposited it. Foster and Rudolf were credited with the assists. Fox notched his hat trick when he was able to get a breakout pass while on the short hand. Bruins goaltender Cameron Schermerhorn skated far out to play the puck, but Fox was able to push the puck past Schermerhorn and get an open look at the empty net. Grabowski and Bryce St. Martin were credited with the assists. James Lynch made it 7 - 1 when he got set up on the defensive line and launched one from the blue line through traffic. Parker Donahue and Sean Ferus were credited with the assists. Braden Humphrey made it 8 - 1 when he was able to spin around and got it past Alexander Daniel who was screened by Pics and Bruins players. Liam Andersen and DJ Velez were credited with the assists. The Bruins put up one more to make it 8 - 2, but Higgins made it 9 - 2 when he was able to put it through Daniels' legs on a soft shot. Brandon Shuman and Rudolf were credited with the assists. The Bruins put up two more to make the final score 9 - 4. Picard stopped 36 out of 40 shots in the win.
