Elite fall to the Hitmen 3 - 1

The Pics fell to the Jersey Hitmen, 3 – 1 on Saturday morning, making their overall season record 2 – 1, and 1 – 1 at the Hitmen showcase.

The Hitmen struck first with a goal at the 4:39 mark of the 1st period from Nicholas Cioce. Assisted from Matt DiCarlo and Austin Bailey.

The Hitmen struck again at nearly the same time in the 2nd period, with a goal from Rocco Garcia, assisted from Cioce and Cochran on the power play.

Nick Disanti got his first goal this season when he setup a tic-tac-toe play while on the power play. Disanti caught a feed from Bryce St. Martin and put it in through traffic to make it 2 – 1. Chris Foster got the secondary assist.

​Cioce then scored again at the 14:32 mark of the 2nd when he met up with Jack Vander Platt and Ruschmeier to make it 3 – 1. Matthew Carter kept it that way and the Hitmen defeated the Pics 3 – 1. Matthew Carter stopped 21 shots for the win, while Jack Messing stopped 37 out of 40 shots in the loss.
