The Pics might have struck twice early, but the Cyclones scored 2 in the second, and 3 in the third period to defeat the Pics 5 - 2 on Saturday night. Felix Appelt got the Pics on the board early when him and Conner Dalton broke down the ice, and made it 1- 0. Gabriel Gosselin got the secondary assist. Connor O'Brien made it 2 - 0 when he put the puck low glove side against Tripp Clarke when Tyler Wilson fed it to him from near the blue line and broke away to go one on one with Clark. Sean Donoghue got the secondary assist. The Cyclones put up two goals in the 2nd period, then the go ahead with close to two minutes remaining in regulation. The Pics pulled the goaltender while on the powerplay, but the Cyclones put in two empty net goals to make the final score 5 - 2. Jacob Brown stopped 33 out of 36 shots in the loss. |
