Owen Stacey was able to get the Pics on the board first early in the 1st, but it was 3 unanswered goals that caused the Pics to fall 3 - 1 Thursday afternoon in Foxboro.
Stacey was able to tip in a quick pass from Nico Rodrigues to put the Pics up 1 - 0 just over a minute into the game. Ryan Moorhouse was credited with the secondary assist.
The Bandits scored three times unanswered which put the game away in the favor of the Kings.
Matthew Jonas stopped 26 out of 29 shots in the loss.
The Pics struck first, but it was four unanswered goals from the Bandits as they steal this one away 4 - 3 on Wednesday.
Zach Shupe was able to knock in the rebound early in the 1st after a quick shot just a few seconds after the faceoff. Sean Ferus and Bryce St. Martin were credited with the assists.
The Bandits scored three more times in the first to make it 4 - 1.
Felix Appelt started the trek to get the Pics back into the game in the waining minutes of the 1st period when he beat Will Haney glove side off a quick shot. Timo Basarab and Matt Kennedy got the assists. It was the law offices of Appelt, Basarab and Kennedy again about midway in the 3rd period when Appelt went bar down on Haney.
The Pics couldn't get another one on the board and fell to the Bandits 4 - 3. The tandem of Woodruff and Schnopp stopped a combined 31 saves in the loss.
The Pics delivered a 5 - 0 shutout to the Boston Advantage Tuesday afternoon at the Olympia.
The Pics opened up just around the half way mark of the 1st period when Connor O'Brien delivered a highlight reel worthy pass to Chase Reynolds who was on the opposite side of the ice breaking down and was able to deposit the puck in the back of the net on a breakaway opportunity. Cam Gaylor was credited with the secondary assist. Matthew Tullo was able to make it 2 - 0 about 8 minutes into the 2nd period when he grabbed the loose puck in the Pics defensive end, and brought it up all by himself. He was able to slip it past between the post and the pads of the goaltender. Oliver Cookson and Nick Foster were credited with the assists. Nico Rodrigues was able to make it 3 - 0 when he was able to stuff the puck past Reardon after a small scrum in front of the net. Julian Perino and Connor O'Brien were credited with the assists. Nick Lopes was able to make it 4 - 0 just two minutes later when he was able to stuff the rebound off a Connor Matthews shot into a practically empty net as Reardon was out of position. Xavier Erickson was credited with the secondary assist.
With just under a minute remaining, Ryan Moorhouse was able to put his name onto the scoresheet when he banged in the rebound shot from Connor O'Brien on the power play. Mike Penna was credited with the assist.
Pics goaltender Wyatt Friedlander was credited with stopping all 22 shots he faced, while Advantage goaltender Austin Reardon stopped 50 out of 55 shots he faced.
Special teams was the name of the game as the Pics defeated the Junior Bruins 3 - 2 on Saturday afternoon.
Joe Bouchard opened up the scoring for the Pics in the 2nd period while the Pics were on the power play when he got the D to D pass and was able to slap it on in from the point. Oliver Cookson and Matthew Tullo got the assists.
The B's were able to put one in against the Pics just a few seconds later to make it 1 - 1. Matthew Tullo through was able to net the Pics' first short handed goal of the night just past the mid-way point when he was able to grab a loose puck that bounced off the back of the goal frame and brought it around for the spinning wrap-around goal. Oliver Cookson and Kyle Nelson were credited with the assists.
The B's got another one on the board via Tyler Borys to make it 2 - 2, butConnor O'Brien was able to 5-hole it past Lally in the final minute of the 2nd period just as the minor to Demers expired making it the Pics' second short hand goal of the night. Mike Penna and Cam Gaylor were credited with the assists making it 3 - 2.
Friedlander stopped 37 out of 39 shots he faced, while Lorry stopped 33 out of 36 shots.
The Pics and the Bandits battled back and forth, but it was the Pics that skated out victorious 6 - 5 against the Bandits, and stole one again from them, spoiling Bandits player Ben Baxter's hat trick.
The Bandits started out with scoring a goal half way through the first period with a goal from Ben Baxter. Teagan Stringfellow got the assist. Xavier Erickson got his first goal of the season for the Pics as they struck back with just 29 seconds remaining in the 1st period when got the outlet pass from Matt Kennedy and "lock, loaded, and fired" it from just beyond the blue line and got it past Josh Chausse. Aiden Grabowski was credited with the secondary assist. Aiden Grabowski made it 2 - 1 just three minutes into the 2nd period when he deflected a shot from Aiden Konigsberg as Konigsberg shot it from the blue line. Matt Kennedy was credited with the secondary assist. Alex Speckhart made it 3 - 1 just 7 minutes later when he grabbed the loose puck at the face off dot and was able to bring it in himself as he slipped it past Chausse. Koingsberg and Ryan Girard were credited with the assists. Ben Baxter from the Bruins put one more on the board just 4 minutes later with an assist from Brian Dale. Sean Ferus was able to convert on the power play when he was able to ring the inner portion of the pipe when he lined up for a slapshot unchallenged. Dominick Balboni and Matt Kennedy were both credited with the assists. The Bruins were then able to rebound with three unanswered goals, with two of them from Ben Baxter granting him the hat trick. It was Bryce St. Martin though who was able to spoil him getting credited with the game winning goal with just 13 seconds left to play as the Pics pulled the goaltender for the extra attacker. St. Martin was able to get a shot in from nearly the same position as Erickson, and was able to tie it up at 5 a piece. It was Paud O'Brien again with the overtime winner as he made an initial shot that rebounded around to Dominick Balboni, who passed it right on back to O'Brien. O'Brien then took a near 0 angle shot and it rebounded off Bandits goaltender Will Hanly, who was only in net for the overtime period, but got rung up for the loss. Zach Shupe got credited with the secondary assist. Elijah Rapaport and Garret Woodruff split the time in net, with Rapaport stopping 19 out of 21 shots in the first half, while Woodruff stopping 9 out of 12 shots for the win. Thirty-seven seconds is all it took for the Pics to score a goal, and make it the game winner in the first period as the Pics quickly dispatched with the Boston Advantage 2 - 0 on Thursday afternoon.
Chase Reynolds broke down the wing and was able to beat Advantage goaltender Andrew Engel with a cross net shot. Julian Perino and Matthew Kowal got the assists. Kowal was able to put in an insurance goal just 4 minutes into the second period. Andrii Levtuhkov and Joe Bouchard got the assists. Matthew Jonas stopped all 16 shots he faced, while Engel stopped 41. The Pics face the division leading Boston Junior Bruins Saturday afternoon at 1pm.
