The Springfield Pics defeated the Boston Junior Bruins 6-2 Saturday night to get their seventh win in a row with Gene Bouthiette, Dmytro Danylenko and Luke James leading the way.
Trevor Lawler of the Bruins got the first goal of the night at the 2:16 mark of the first.
Bouthiette then lit the lamp again, which would be the game winning goal, off a breakaway at the 15:18 of the first.
Dmytro Danylenko then got the insurance goal at the 1:50 mark of the 2nd. John Arciszewsi was credited with the assist.
Bryce Chaput of the Bruins then squeeze between two defensemen and got one back at the 4:29 mark of the 2nd. Anthony Chambers was credited with the assist.
Luke James then got back to back goals in the 3rd, less than a minute apart from each other. His first goal was at the 7:59 mark, with Dmytro Danylenko and Noah Palmer assisting. His second was at the 8:15 mark, with Ethan Cervonayco and Noah Palmer assisting.
Shane O'Brien was then subsituted for Justus Kujala and held his post.
Trent Pratt got the win with 20 saves.
The Pics play the Bruins in the back end of a home and home tomorrow at the New England Sports Center at 1:40 pm
