Hosmer commits to Indiana Tech

WEST SPRINGFIELD, Massachusetts – The Springfield Pics, proud members of the United States Premier Hockey League, announced on Friday, January 11 that Premier team member Erik Hosmer has committed to Indiana Tech to play college hockey.

“Indiana Tech gives me the opportunity to continue play hockey at a college level and I am grateful for that. I would like to thank the Pics organization for all the help they have given me throughout my junior career.” Hosmer states.

Indiana Tech plays in the highly competitive NAIA and finished the 2017- 2018 season with a record of 22-10-2 overall, including a conference record of 5-2-0. They appeared in the NAIA finals, losing to #1 Aquinas.

“We are very excited and proud of Erik Hosmer for choosing Indiana Tech. Erik has excelled throughout his experience with the Pics, both on and off ice. He is a very reliable defensemen. He uses his size and hockey IQ well and will be an asset for Indiana Tech. We wish him the very best in his college career”, Coach John Sarno states.

Erik played on the U16, U18, and Premier teams. The Springfield Pics would like to congratulate Erik and wishes him the very best in his college hockey career.
