Pics win a hard fought two points

Connor O'Brien potted the game winning goal 2:13 into the first overtime period to give the Pics a 3-2 win against the Northern Cyclones in a penalty filled game.

The Pics got on the board first with a goal at the 3:42 mark of the first period from Maxim Sazanovets. Daniel Murnieks and Carter Hanrahan got credited with the assists.

Sazanovets got his second of the game at the seven minute mark shorthanded. Nick Mee and Mike Bonavita got credited with the assists.

Anthony Viola of the Cyclones got their first goal at the 5:28 mark of the third period.

Nate Benoit evened it up at the 10:35 mark. Will Woodruff and Johnathan Lapsa got the assists.

Ilya Spirin got 40 saves in the win.

The Pics play next against the Potomac Patriots on December 14th at the friendly confines of the Olympia.
