The Pics dethroned the South Shore Kings Wednesday afternoon 7 – 2 in Bridgewater. Lukas Radina scored 4 goals in the affair.
Radina opened up the frenzy when he caught a pass from Julian Perino and spun around and deposited it from almost the goal line extended, making it a near zero-angle shot. Max Moriarty got the secondary assist.
Rocco DiFazio recovered the goal and evened up the affair on the shorthand from Bennett Blake just over a minute later.
Radina notched his second of the game on a practically open net about 3 minutes later when he received a pass from Julian Perino who got the puck from Max Moriarty right before he was checked into the boards. Radina shot it from nearly the same spot as his previous goal.
Radina then got the hat trick four minutes later when he brought the puck down from half ice and stuffed it in between the pads and the goalpost. Bouchard and Moriarty got the assists.
Adam McGill got the second and last goal for the Kings for the game three minutes later. Joey Fata got the assist.
Radina got his fourth goal of the game with 7 minutes remaining in the 2nd when he deposited the low pass from Brock Baumann. Owen Stacey got the secondary assist.
With just under two minutes remaining, Rasmus Persson made a “Sportscenter” worthy goal when he put the puck in from a, “no-look, behind the back” shot when he got a pass from Ryan Moorhouse. Chase Reynolds got the assist.
Dom Ingham got the last goal of the game while the same shift was on the ice right off the faceoff. Ryan Moorhouse and Josh Bliss got the assists.
Matthew Jonas stopped 18 out of 20 shots for the win, while David Kovacs stopped 33 out of 40 shots for the loss.
