U16 squad shut outs the Islanders Hockey Club

Mike Penna gets first career hit trick

Carter Hanrahan got the scoring started on the shorthand at the 7:50 mark of the 1st period. Dominick Balboni and Ryan Taulien were credited with the assists. Mike Penna then contributed to his 1st of 3 goals of the night just under 3 minutes later while on the power play. Ryan Taulien and Dominick Balboni got the assists.

Hanrahan then got his second of the night just four minutes later on the power play. Taulien and Balboni got the assists. Penna got his second of three goals not even 10 seconds later. Matus Hadusovsky and Simon Banas got the assists.

Mike French got his first of the game just 2:35 into the third frame. Cole Growhowski and Cal Bullens were credited with the assists. Penna got the final goal of the night, notching his first career hat trick at the 4:28 mark into the third frame. Matus Hadusovsky and Landon Kinnear got the assists. 

Ryan Solomon stopped all 42 shots he faced. Pedro Benites stopped 45 out of 51 shots for the loss.The Pics then travel to the Connecticut Junior Rangers - Red on Sunday, November 3rd at 5:30pm. The U16 squad won’t return to the Olympia until December 7th, when they will face the Boston Bandits at 6pm.
