Open Letter from the Junior
Pics Organization
Dear
Parents, Players and Hockey Fans,
Now that the 2006 - 2007 hockey season is winding down to
it's final stretch, it's time to recognize the hard work
all the players have done to get them where they are in their
respective age groups. Whether it's the Mites, Girls or the
eldest Junior teams, all the sweat put into practice has
come to fruition.
We have several teams at the coveted first place position
in their respective divisions. The Bantam Majors and Midgets
finished in first place; the U16 girls and Junior Elite teams
are holding strong to their top spots. The scrappy Mite Minors
are in second place trailing only by 2 points! The Bantam
Minor team is also in second place with less than two months
to go. The U14 Girls team won two tournaments in less than
a month, wow! A huge undertaking since the Polar Bears tournament
is the largest girls tournament in the U.S..
As we finish yet another year of exciting hockey, we also
look forward to the season ahead of us. Next season will
bring some new and exciting changes to the Springfield Junior
Pics as we will again field teams in the Mites through Juniors
and the Girls teams. Upon completion of the current season,
tryout dates and schedules will be announced. Tentatively
they will be the second week in March, exact times and dates
will be announced on the website.
So finish the season strong, keep those edges sharp and
your mind on the goal - keeping hockey fun!
Thank
you,
The
